Begin researching in the multi-volume, soft bound set of indexes, which are usually found at the end of the entire set. After looking up your topic, the index will provide you with a topic and a section number. These lead the researcher to the main volumes. Thus, if the index leads us to Abduction Section 53, we would close the index, go to the main volume containing the topics starting with the letter "A" (for Abduction), find the topic within the main volume, and locate the specific section number we were provided by the index (in this case, 53).
